Most telehealth training tells you the rules. This one tells you what to do at 9pm on a Tuesday.
Your client is in crisis, three states away, and you are not sure whether you are allowed to call anyone. That is the moment this training was built for.
Written by the person who wrote the credential
Dr. Michael Jones authored the CCE-approved BC-TMH certification curriculum and has held the credential since 2014. This is not a summary of someone else's standards.
Four hours of ethics, not a checkbox
Informed consent, digital client rights, boundaries in virtual space, crisis protocol, HIPAA and HITECH, breach response, and what trust repair actually looks like after something goes wrong.
Built for how people actually learn
Every submodule pairs a short video with a deep-dive audio episode you can listen to on a commute, plus resources and a learning activity. Eight modules, seven quizzes, one year of access.

Who is teaching this
The professor people stay to talk to afterward
Dr. Michael Jones is a tenured professor of counseling, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor, and Board Certified in Telemental Health since 2014. He wrote the CCE-approved curriculum used for BC-TMH national certification. He is a past president of the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision and of the Arkansas Counseling Association, and he has served on the American Counseling Association Ethics Committee.
He has published 25 scholarly works and delivered more than 100 conference presentations. He also runs a private practice and sees clients over the same technology this course covers. The material comes from both chairs.
What people tend to remember, though, is that he makes it safe to ask the question you were embarrassed to ask. That is on purpose, and there is a paper about it.
Counselor Education Collective is an NBCC Approved Continuing Education Provider, ACEP No. 6549. Programs that do not qualify for NBCC credit are clearly identified. Counselor Education Collective is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.
